The prison of Chulak was a prison used by Apophis to put all the prisoners he captured to become Goa'uld hosts.
Overview[edit | edit source]
This huge prison is located inside the Chulak palace. It has some big large walls with very small windows to let the daylight come in. The only entrance is closed by a large heavy metal grid.
This prison was used by Apophis to put prisoners he captured when he traveled on different planets in the Milky Way galaxy. During the ceremony of choosing, some of them are taken to become Goa'uld hosts. The others are usually killed soon after choosing (SG1: "Children of the Gods").
History[edit | edit source]
Evolution[edit | edit source]
"Children of the Gods" (1997)[edit | edit source]
Inside the prison are different people taken from several planets. Among them are Sha're and Skaara, previously abducted from Abydos. Teal'c, First Prime of Apophis comes into the prison, chooses Sha're and takes her away. The heavy grid closes and locks before Skaara reaches it.
Later, SG-1 are taken prisonner inside the prison, and they meet Skaara there. While Colonel Jack O'Neill and Skaara try to find a way to escape the prison, Apophis, his queen (who has taken Sha're's body) and several guards and Goa'uld come into the prison in order to choose those who will become "Children of the gods". Several people among them are taken, including Skaara. When Apophis orders to kill all the rest, O'Neill begs Teal'c to help him to save those people. After a moment Teal'c shoots a serpent guard with his staff weapon and launches it to O'Neill. O'Neill and Teal'c kill all the remaining serpent guards, and O'Neill uses the staff weapon to make a hole on the prison's wall so all the prisoners can escape.
