Colonel Samantha Carter was an alternate version of Samantha Carter taking place because of the timeline shift generated by Ba'al. She has been killed in 2009 when she managed to find a solar flare window in order to fix the timeline.

This alternate Samantha Carter had the same background than the main timeline version until the beginning of the extraction ceremony on the Tok'ra planet (Stargate: Continuum).
