Brigadier General Jack O'Neill was an alternate version of Colonel Jack O'Neill and the commanding officer of an alternate SGA. He has been killed by an alternate Teal'c while attempting to negociate with him.
Brigadier General Jack O'Neill's background is almost identical to Colonel Jack O'Neill's from the main reality, yet there are some differences. His son Charlie killed himself with O'Neill's gun, he went on Abydos with the intention to blow a nuclear device (with the exception that Daniel Jackson wasn't part of the team). But for some reason, he was promoted to Brigadier General and put in charge of the Stargate facility, called SGA in this reality. He was engaged to Dr. Samantha Carter, Ph.D. who is not military in this reality (SG1: "There But For the Grace of God").
Catherine Langford asks Brigadier General O'Neill to listen Daniel Jackson as he "knows things". Daniel comes in the briefing room and is glad to see Jack but he is surprised so see differences: first Jack is not a Colonel but a Brigadier General, and secondly, he seems to not recognise Daniel. He asks Daniel about the Goa'uld, but Daniel answers that he knows what he knows. When Daniel mentions Teal'c, O'Neill orders to get Daniel out of here. Then Daniel reminds him the reason he went to Abydos.
Thanks to Daniel who gave the coordinates, General O'Neill orders to send a nuclear device to Chulak, Teal'c's homeworld. When Daniel argues, O'Neill asks Daniel to give one reason to do that. Even if Daniel says the Jaffa are just slaves and they have no choice, O'Neill doesn't change his mind and orders to send the bomb. Then he orders to proceed with evacuation and order to get Daniel out unless he has more information.
Inside the control room, O'Neill hears and sees on a radar computer screen the destruction of Air Force One and the arrival of a huge Goa'uld mothership above Cheyenne Mountain. In the briefing room, O'Neill orders the defense positions and the evacuation of the non essential personnel including Dr. Langford and Daniel. Then he learns that the Goa'uld have locked the Stargate by keeping an established wormhole from offworld.
O'Neill blows up an elevator with C-4 in order to slow down the Jaffa's progression. He gives a hand to airmen ready to defend the position but there are too many Jaffa and O'Neill orders to fall back.
Getting back to briefing room Daniel tries to change O'Neill's mind and asks him to help Daniel to prevent such an attack in his reality. Then he shows a videotape he took while he was with SG-1 on P3R-233, with Colonel Jack O'Neill, Captain Samantha Carter and Teal'c on screen. Daniel asks O'Neill to buy time with the Teal'c from this alternate reality by giving him some details about his background and family. O'Neill accepts reluctantly, he takes the video camera, hugs, kisses Samantha Carter (much to Daniel's surprise) and heads to Teal'c's position. He introduces himself to Teal'c and speaks about him and the alternate reality by showing the video tape. When O'Neill mentions his family, wife and son, Teal'c says he received a report from Chulak as O'Neill sent a weapon of destruction through the Stargate. His people and family are dead. At this moment, Teal'c takes a previously installed staff canon, points it at O'Neill and fires.
General O'Neill is much colder and militaristic than his main reality counterpart. He shows less mercy and doesn't hesitate to send bombs in order to prevent attacks from enemy worlds (SG1: "There But For the Grace of God").
- Unlike Jack O'Neill, this alternate version has a scar on his left eyebrow.
- General O'Neill didn't know Daniel Jackson as the Jackson from this reality denied abruptly Dr. Langford's proposal.
- Jack O'Neill, from the main reality.
