Jay Acovone (born August 20, 1955) is an American actor. He played several Majors Charles Kawalskys in Stargate SG-1.
Early life[edit | edit source]
Acovone is born in Mahopac, New York. Youngest of three children, his family owns a dry cleaning business in Mahopac.
Career[edit | edit source]
Acovone began his career at the age of 19. He attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York in 1977.
Stargate[edit | edit source]
In 1997, Acovone replaced John Diehl as Major Charles Kawalsky for the Stargate SG-1 TV series. Even if the character disapeared after three episodes, Acovone came back as guest star for three more episodes to portray alternate versions of Kawalsky between 1998 and 2005.
